Recently in June 2010, Google has changed their SEO algorithm. And introduced ACTIVITY (code-named “Caffeine”). And too many websites has gone down their rankings in google search engine. Their year’s hard work has gone in hell.
Before it was very famous and as per google’s guidance that ranking triad depends on three things.
1. Content (Keywords, Domain name, tags, etc)
2. Links (inbound, outbound, authority, etc.)
And now they introduced the third and MOST REQUIRED
3. Activity (traffic, RSS subscriptions, comments, updates, etc.)
Before getting high rankings in search engines was easy to achieve by getting high page rank links back your site. As SEO Gurus were saying
SEO = Links, Links and Links
But now it has changed. It calls Activity. Yes the activities of your visitors not your’s. As per google, now you have to totally depend on your visitors to get high rankings in google.
Its mean SEO is finished, because you will be depending totally on your visitors’ activities. If they will comment on your site, subscribe to your RSS feeds and you will update your site regularly etc then your site will be considered for high rankings in google.
Will you give your site’s full control in your visitors’ hands? Will let you go your hard work like this? Off course not.
